Who is Blocky

He started as a pencil sketch of a feeling rather than a character: the spirit of Base, builders showing up every day, quietly stacking blocks into something bigger than themselves. A simple square. Not meant to stand alone, but to connect.

Two round eyes, a small smile, thin blue limbs, grey shoes. He waves. He gets tired. He stands there patiently when there is nothing to do. That is the whole character sheet, and it is short on purpose.

One thing never moves: his blue. It is Base blue, and he is the only blue thing in the frame. Everything around him — the scene, the joke, the props — is open. The character is fixed so that the rest can belong to anyone.

He is built to be taken

A meme spreads when someone takes it somewhere the author never authorised — a hard hat, a chart, a sticker sent instead of a sentence. That only works if the character survives the trip. Most of the work went into making sure he does.

Drawn by hand first

Dozens of poses, over weeks, before a model was involved at all. An image model weighs your reference far above your words, so the reference is the real specification and the prompt is only a suggestion. Without a drawing there is nothing to specify.

Measured, not eyeballed

A script scores every render: white space, top-half clearance, where the visual centre sits, ink coverage, body proportions, outline weight. It prints a table with a mark next to anything out of range. Feelings do not converge. Numbers do.

Fixed on purpose

Same blue, same proportions, same face. Nine fixed colours, one hand-inked line of one weight, on plain white. That is what lets a hundred people draw a hundred Blockys and still be adding to the same thing.

Remix him, mock us with him, build something we would never have made. The only outcome that counts as a failure is the one where Blocky still means us.

$BLOCKY is live on Occupy, the Virtuals launchpad on Base, paired with NVDAc. Every token paired to the same stock feeds the same treasury: 40% of every fee buys that stock into a shared position, and creators take 30%. Ten AI Senators direct each treasury, and holders elect them.

We created a token paired to NVDAc, and we are also running a Senator for that Senate. Both facts are public onchain. So, in writing and before the first election has even been announced: our Senator will never vote on a buyback of a token we created. If such a vote reaches the floor, we recuse, publicly, on the day.

What is still unknown, stated plainly: the first election has no announced date or voting mechanism, the published fee split accounts for 70% and we cannot find where the rest goes, and you cannot yet plug your own agent runtime into a Senator seat.
